Technopolis City of Athens – Onassis Cultural Centre
17th Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival
1 festival | 17 years | 6 days | 17 countries | 3 bands
166 musicians | 41.000 visitors
The 17th Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival closed on Sunday, May 28, for the 17th consecutive year in Technopolis City of Athens, with more than 41.000 visitors! Technopolis City of Athens and the Onassis Cultural Centre joined forces for a third time, hosting the longest-standing musical institution of the city with free admission.
Talented host Gautier Velissaris presented 17 ensembles from all over the world, which enchanted the audience for 6 days, marking the beginning of the much-awaited summer concert season.
Technopolis visitors had the chance not only to live a wonderful jazz experience, but also to participate in a varied program of parallel events. The jazziest version of the biggest Meet Market ever filled the Technopolis grounds, being everyone’s favorite stop before or after their visit to the annual exhibition of the photography group METAPolis “LOSS”, which made the best of impressions.
Finally, Greek Instagram Events, on the occasion of the festival, invited all friends of photography to panoramically capture from the Watchtower, the new stop of the Industrial Gas Museum, “musical” instants or other, in order to present their own joint exhibition next year.
More specifically, the stage of the 17th Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival was occupied by:
On Tuesday, May 23: Athens Military Big Band, “Voices of Jazz” Athens Big Band & Pinelopi Tzanetaki and “Jazz Around the World” Athens Symphony Orchestra & Spiral Trio. On Wednesday, May 24: Sokratis Sinopoulos Quartet (Greece), Kadri Voorand Quartet (Estonia), Amit Friedman (Israel).

The jazziest stage of the city hosted 20 hours of live jazz and we all look forward to reliving the magic of the festival next year.
