The paradoxical of this ensemble is that its music sounds simple without being simple and it can take you to unknown places without it being unknown. It has a fairy tale essence- and in fairy tales, many marvelous things can happen. The Danish drummer Peter Bruun formed this group by gathering experienced musicians who know how to improvise- in jazz, rock, new and no wave fields- without putting limits to their creativity. Their album Vernacular Avant-garde was recorded in Copenhagen a year ago and it combines the familiar with the unexpected while transferring us to wondrous worlds.
