Ondřej Pivec Organic Quartet
The Ondřej Pivec Organic Quartet was formed in spring 2005 by the organist Ondřej Pivec, one of the most talented young musicians on the contemporary Czech jazz scene, and some of his equally talented fellow students from the Jazz College. The distinctions were not long in coming, and the Anděl Academy Music Award for the Jazz and Blues category was awarded to the Ondřej Pivec Organic Quartet in 2006 for their first album, titled “Don’t Get Ideas” (Cube – Metier).
