L'Hijaz'Car
The name of this group, which is based in Strasbourg, Alsace, means, on the one hand the oriental musical "road" (way) hijajcar and on the other a Hijaz Car(avan) - a caravan of Hijaz (or Hijazis), of the area that "connects" ancient Persia, Arabia and the Mediterranean. Culturally speaking, this is reflected by the "Joining" of the traditional music of the East and European jazz in an energetic, colorful, melodic and rhythic way.
