Kadri Voorand (vocals), Marek Talts (guitar), Taavo Remmel (double bass), Ahto Abner (percussion)
Kadri Voorand is a jazz singer and composer, who’s original music and expression has brought her a number of prizes and performances in Estonia as well as abroad. In 2017, she has been awarded as the Best Female Artist of the Year and her album Love Intoxication was given the Award of the Best Jazz Album of the Year. Kadri uses her improvisational skills and original expression to create a wide range of contemporary jazz, meantime maintaining her roots using folk elements with her small group, the trio composing for estonian poetry, or combining contemporary harmonies with the rhythmics of latin and R&B music when composing for her large band.
Marek Talts is one of the most appreciated Estonian guitarists, whose playing style is mainly characterized by a wild stage energy and openness, as well as technical virtuosity. Taavo Remmel’s bass is the foundation of the early music ensemble Hortus Musicus as well of many jazz ensembles home and abroad. Ahto Abner is one of Estonia’s busiest jazz drummers, his style and flexible play is highly appreciated by both audience and musicians.
